Jackman Racing is a rally team based in Vancouver B.C. Currently the team just finished building a Volkswagen Golf for Group 2 class (modified 2 wheel drive) and debuted the car at the Pacific Forest Rally on October 19-20th of this year. Team Principle and Driver Dwane Jackman is experienced as both driver and co-driver with over 10 years of top level and exciting competition, both in his home land of Barbados and here in Canada. Dwane and Jackman Racing plan to continue where they have left off, by competing in the Western Canadian Rally Championship in 2008, followed by an attack on the national title in 2009.

The Pacific Forest Rally 2007 proved to be the perfect shakedown for next year, with a reputable finish of 3rd in class and 12th overall. This finish came after a hard first night, in which a front suspension failure forced the team back in the field, however, Dwane was able to claw his way back to 12th (3rd in class) on the second day.

In 2008, the car will be competing in the Western Canadian Rally Championship in the Group 2 Class for high performance 2 wheel drive vehicles. Group 2 is full of competition with 2 major rivals; Colin Armstrong's VW and Aaron Neumann's Honda, of which he drove to the 2006 WCRC title. Both competition cars are a testament to how competitive the Group 2 class can be. The VW Golf was built to extremely competitive standard, which when coupled with Dwane's experience as a rally driver; the Golf will make for a very quick and entertaining display of driving. While the team will be racing for class honors, the car will prove itself able to compete for overall rally victories, as well as the championship. With this success comes added media attention and airtime to further promote sponsors.
